From Al-Ahsa to Kuala Lumpur… A Golden Tale of Achievement

In a scene that embodies national ambition and reflects the vision of the Abdul Monem Al-Rashed Humanitarian Foundation to empower individuals, the foundation accompanied ten of the brightest young minds from general education on an inspiring scientific journey to Malaysia. They participated in ITEX 2025, one of the world’s leading exhibitions in innovation and invention.

This participation came under the Mentorship Initiative, in strategic partnership with the General Administration of Education in Al-Ahsa, driven by the foundation's belief that supporting creativity is an investment in the future—a noble mission to build confident, productive, and globally competitive generations.

In the heart of Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur, our students wrote their own radiant story, raising the Kingdom's flag high at a prestigious international scientific venue. The team earned 10 global medals and 8 special awards in recognition of their groundbreaking innovations.

The Heroes of the Story: Minds that Create... and Leave a Legacy

    • Rimas Alnuwaiṣir: Developed novel nano-triple phosphate chips (M=Ni, Co, Fe) for methanol fuel cells. Awarded a gold medal and a special award.

    • Jana Almarri: Created a health-focused innovation to reduce arterial stiffness using next-gen fat-based nanorobots. Earned a gold medal and two special awards.

    • Ali Almuqarrib: Presented a medical engineering project: a smart belt that remotely and continuously monitors breathing and vital signs for those with sleep apnea. Won a gold medal and a special award.

    • Alnoor Albousaqer: Innovated a non-invasive glucose monitoring technique using Near-Infrared (NIR) with nickel nanoleaves. Secured a gold medal and a special award.

    • Rinad Aldoghan: Invented a biofilter using zinc oxide-treated cellulose for gravity-based microfiltration to combat biological water contamination. Received a gold medal and a special award.

    • Abeer Alghamdi: Developed and biologically assessed sodium alginate films enhanced with arugula oil for food packaging. Took home a gold medal and a special award.

    • Maria Aldandan: Presented a new fish feed containing 2% nanospirulina particles to enhance growth and immunity in tilapia. Awarded a silver medal and a special award.

    • Zainab Almuheini: Developed next-gen coagulation technology to treat oily wastewater. Won a silver medal.

    • Hanadi Alshakhs: Worked on graphene oxide membranes with covalent organic frameworks for dye/salt mixture separation. Earned a gold medal.

    • Fatimah Alamer: Developed a self-cleaning photoreactive membrane made from polypyrrole and tungsten oxide for oil-polluted water treatment. Achieved a gold medal.

The Voice of Impact... In Their Own Words

“No words of thanks could ever be enough… You are the beautiful impact of this journey, and the beginning of every future success.”
    — Ali Almuqarrib

“You gave us the chance to dream, to excel, and to raise our country’s name high. Thank you for believing in us.”
    — Fatimah Alamer

    Why We Are Proud

Because this story wasn’t just a participation in a global exhibition—it was a genuine expression of the foundation’s mission:

We believe that building people starts by embracing their ideas, enabling their vision, and launching them into the world with confidence and determination.

In every medal—there’s a human touch.
In every award—there’s a story of pride.
And in every young person—there’s a future that shines for the Kingdom.

This is the story of the Abdul Monem Al-Rashed Humanitarian Foundation—where empowerment is a journey, and its impact is unforgettable.
